Shift: Night shift

Description:

We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our Shipping Department at our meat-packing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving finished product throughout the warehouse, and ensuring all outbound orders are accurately staged and shipped. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient product flow and upholding our high standards of quality and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts in a cold-storage/meat-processing environment.

Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.

Transport pallets of finished product to designated staging areas.

Scan and verify product labels, quantities, and lot codes for accuracy.

Assist with preparing shipments, including palletizing, wrapping, and organizing outbound orders.

Maintain clean and organized shipping and dock areas.

Follow all safety guidelines, GMPs, and company policies.

Communicate with supervisors, drivers, and production staff as needed.

Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance issues.

Qualifications

1+ year of forklift operating experience (sit-down or stand-up).

Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.

Experience in food production, cold storage, or meat-packing environments preferred.

Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
