Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides essential care to residents in long-term care, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Key responsibilities include :

Delivering resident-centered nursing care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.

Assisting with mobility and performing range of motion exercises.

Recording vital signs and facilitating communication with the nursing team regarding residents' conditions.

Helping with meal preparation and dining experiences.

Ensuring cleanliness in living areas through housekeeping and laundry services.

Supporting wellness and recreational activities to encourage resident participation.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Minimum age of 16. Previous experience in long-term care preferred.

Must hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or be in the process of obtaining it.

Annual completion of required competency testing and continuing education (minimum of 12 hours).

If applicable, certified with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
