Medical Collections Specialist

A company is looking for a Patient Collection Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle Management team remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure daily collection goals are met for cash collections and accounts receivable over 90 days

Research outstanding balances and take necessary actions for timely resolution and accurate claims resubmission

Negotiate payment plans and identify billing errors while communicating with third-party collection agencies

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED or equivalent; some college preferred

Minimum of one year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of insurance reimbursement

Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ is a plus

Knowledge of basic accounting practices and coding (ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS)

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with typing speed of 40 wpm and 10-key calculator skills
