Posting Details Business Title Assistant Dean, Law Admissions & Financial Aid Posting Category Administrative and Professional Salary Grade 08 Salary Plan Professional Non Bargaining Hiring Range / Pay Rate Department College of Law Dean Department Description Position Location Main Campus FTE 1.00 Job Summary Responsible for Cleveland State University, College of Law (CSU|LAW) student recruitment, admissions, and financial aid functions. Coordinates with Faculty, Admissions, Legal Career Opportunities Program (LCOP), Character and Fitness Committees, and CSU|LAW administration to support development and implementation of admissions initiatives. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, education, or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU’s Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Experience in law school admissions and working with and motivating diverse populations.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knowledge of legal education and an ability to communicate the value proposition of a CSU|LAW education.
  • Ability to examine and evaluate operations and improve operating strategies, systems, and procedures.
  • Strong quantitative skills and the ability to analyze quantitative data.
  • Ability to exercise judgement and leadership in working with students, faculty, staff, and external constituencies.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and debt management principles.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organization, and planning skills.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication skills, the ability to make effective presentations, have strong public speaking skills, develop, and drive change and effectively communicate change.
  • Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and tackle emergencies and difficult situations.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and work as an individual contributor and an effective team player, in addition to being highly organized, self-directed, and forward-thinking.
  • Skilled in the use of integrated software systems, particularly customer relationship management (CRM) and there reporting tools and website content management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
