Summary :
As a Manager of Environmental Health & Safety, you will focus on improving safety by using your experience to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control chemical, mechanical, electrical, ergonomic and other potential hazards in the workplace. You will function as a subject matter expert resource to teams for consistent implementation of company safety standards and programs and provide site-wide safety training and perform jobsite safety auditing and incident investigation.
Responsibilities :
- Accountable for achieving strategic objectives in the areas of team member safety, environmental protection, and loss prevention, including implementation of safety programs, OSHA compliance, reductions in worker's compensation incidents and recordkeeping
- Ensure plant-wide compliance with all OSHA or other state / local laws and regulations
- Ensure timely communication to plant operations and corporate management. May perform ad hoc compliance audits
- Work to create a company culture that puts safety first to protect our team members, improve processes, and improve key metrics such as IRR and LTIR
- Ensure effective hazard identification and mitigation for plant operations and administrative offices
- Manage a team of safety and health members
- Develop and track established KPI's for team members
- Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports and help create career development plans for these individuals
- Responsible for conducting daily safety walks to ensure safe practices are being observed and to note any unsafe acts, faulty equipment or non-compliance with any safety related policies / regulations Track any follow-up promptly on corrections required
- Responsible for all applicable federal, state and local reporting is completed for all aspects of environmental including air, chemical, waste and water
- Organize EH&S training and maintains necessary records and certificates
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards :

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or a related field or equivalent, relevant experienceCSP (Certified Safety Professional) preferredExperience :
7 to 10+ years of experience evaluating and improving safety programs in a manufacturing environment3 to 6+ years of managing a safety and health team in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge in advanced manufacturing technology, chemicals, and pneumatics a plusSkills :
