Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date.
May float to other areas of the hospital.
May float to other hospitals within the network, with minimum notice.
Travel experience is required.
Previous charge experience preferred.
Description :
The Registered Nurse will work in the Medical Surgical Oncology department.
This position requires providing care to patients with oncology diagnoses, sepsis, pneumonia, and general postoperative needs.
The nurse will need to monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms.
Patient ratios will range from 1 : 5 during the day to 1 : 6 at night.
Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
The role may involve utilizing a team nursing model with increased patient ratios.
The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
It is essential for applicants to have hospital experience and knowledge of electronic charting systems.
Candidates should be prepared to address any holiday time-off requests with management upon arrival.
Friendly and professional communication skills are vital for interacting with patients and their families.
Adherence to infection control and safety protocols is mandatory.
The position requires resilience and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Renewals for any required certifications should be addressed if within the designated time frame.
