Supervisory Supply Technician
Serves as a supervisor of an organizational unit responsible for the receipt, storage, and issue of supplies worldwide.
Directs organizational unit operations through subordinates performing complex clerical, technical, and administrative assignments related to inventory management.
Conducts continuing review and analysis of assigned operational area and evaluates the effectiveness of work operations.
Assures optimum utilization of current assets and resources, specialized storage activities, and rapid reaction time in support of mission programs.
Distributes and balances the workload among employees in accordance with established work flow or job specialization.
Reviews completed work to see that instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines have been met.

This position and any future selections from this announcement may be used to fill various shifts located within DLA Distribution Warner Robins, GA.
Must be able to obtain and maintain licenses and / or certifications required by the installation, federal, state, and local laws.
Work requires operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and aisle mobile hybrid crane. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid MHE license.
To qualify for a Supervisory Supply Technician, your resume and supporting documentation must support : A. Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position.
B. Education Substitution : As a general rule, education is not creditable above the GS-5 level for this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
Physical Demands : In the performance of investigations, inventories and location surveys, the incumbent is required to research, survey and / or count all types of material, some which is heavy and bulky, stored on pallets, and some which is stored in high-level locations.
Work may require operating MHE and handling, pushing and lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
Depending on availability of equipment and depot location, may occasionally operate a bicycle, sedan, or pick-up truck to move between work sites.
Work Environment : Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. The work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, such as working around moving warehouse equipment, carts, or machines.
Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, gowns, safety shoes, goggles, hearing protection, and gloves.
