Job description

Job Title : Medical Assistant – Administrative Role

Shift :
  • Day Shift
  • Monday–Friday
  • 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM
  • Job Summary

    This is an administrative Medical Assistant position , not a traditional clinical MA role. The clinician will primarily manage patient communication through Epic, addressing concerns from incoming phone calls and MyChart messages. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Epic for documentation and in-basket management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Utilize Epic to manage patient inquiries via phone and MyChart messages.
    • Document patient interactions clearly, objectively, and thoroughly.
    • Perform in-basket management and call intake efficiently.
    • Communicate professionally with patients and coworkers.
    • Support administrative tasks within outpatient clinic settings as needed.
    • Required Skills & Experience

    • Previous experience in healthcare and familiarity with healthcare terminology.
    • Proficiency in Epic, including in-basket management and call intake.
    • Clear and professional communication skills.
    • Ability to document accurately and objectively.
    • Preferred :

    • Experience in adult outpatient clinics and cardiology.
    • Education & Certifications

    • Required : WA MA License (MA-C and MA-R) in hand.
    • BLS Certification.
    • Preferred : CMA or RMA certification.
    • Additional Requirements

    • Locals only; reliable transportation required.
    • No weekend or on-call requirements.
    • Must be available for scheduled interviews (three confirmed time slots required).
    • First-time travelers accepted.

    • Type : Outpatient Facility – Central Triage Admin Role.
    • Charting System : Epic.
