Spark Car Wash is a high-growth, next-generation express exterior car wash company serving the Northeast. Spark is in the process of opening a significant number of modern car wash locations throughout NJ, NY, and PA. The company is on track to become the largest operator in our market by 2026 and has full pipeline visibility on 40+ stores. Position Summary :

Spark Car Wash is disrupting what people think they know about washing cars. Coming off a recently closed Series C, Spark has the capital, leadership, and momentum to scale aggressively.  We are seeking a highly motivated FP&A Analyst to join our growing team, based in Summit, NJ .

As an FP&A analyst, you will be integral in supporting ongoing financial reporting initiatives to better understand store performance and enable the organization drive results at the car washes. The role will report to the Strategic Finance Associate and collaborate closely with various departments, including Operations, Real Estate, HR and Marketing.

You’ll work directly with experienced leaders from AEA Investors, Bain & Company, Lidl, Wawa, L’Oreal, and CVS, gaining full exposure to what it takes to scale a high-growth, multi-unit retail business. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in key finance initiatives and help scale FP&A capabilities that drive strategic decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities :

  • Financial Modeling : Develop, maintain, and improve financial models related to store performance, budget, capital expenditures, liquidity, and other key areas of the business
  • Monthly Financial Reporting : Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting, including MD&A and variance analyses to ensure high-quality and accurate reporting to stakeholders
  • Budgeting : Support annual budgeting process by partnering cross-functionally with department leaders to develop, consolidate, and analyze budgets to drive company wide goals and strategic decision making
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration : Collaborate with various teams, including Real Estate, Operations, and Marketing to gather relevant information necessary for the on-going monitoring and optimization of the business
  • Competitor & Market Analysis : Research and analyze industry peers to identify trends, benchmark performance, and uncover strategic opportunities for growth and efficiency of the business
  • Ad-hoc Analysis : Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to support strategic decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or other similar financial-oriented roles
  • Experience with multi-unit reporting is a plus
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing presentations for senior leadership or board members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
