Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A senior leadership role is available within a Mail Order Specialty Pharmacy environment, focused on advancing quality and compliance programs. This direct hire opportunity offers a unique blend of onsite and remote work, primarily for candidates within the Midwest willing to travel occasionally to Kalamazoo.
In this position, you will oversee the Quality Management Program (QMP) across multiple service lines including retail, specialty, infusion, and treatment navigation operations. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in patient care and safety. You will lead policy development and implementation tailored to meet standards set by URAC, ACHC, CMS, PBM, among others.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and manage the QMP for all pharmacy service areas.
- Develop, update, and operationalize policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) using dashboards and quality reports.
- Oversee incident reporting and Good Catch programs to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Conduct root cause analyses, trend evaluations, and risk assessments; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Facilitate staff coaching on root cause analysis and Just Culture principles.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership in marketing, IT, finance, billing, and various pharmacy departments.
- Support staff development including pharmacy student and intern rotations.
- Perform pharmacist duties as needed.
Required Qualifications :
Advanced healthcare degree such as PharmD, RPh, RN or equivalent with an active Michigan license.Minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare quality leadership, preferably related to pharmacy operations or treatment navigation.Strong expertise in quality improvement methodologies, risk management, and accreditation standards.Effective communication, analytical, and project management skills.Proven success in leading multi-disciplinary initiatives.Preferred Certifications :
