Data Entry Operator I (Remote)
Oxford Government Consulting is seeking full-time Data Entry Operators to support the IRS in the digitization of documents. This is an entry-level, remote position ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, accurate, and comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a structured environment.
Position Overview
The Data Entry Operator I is responsible for operating keyboard-controlled data entry devices to transcribe and process data into electronic formats suitable for computer processing. This role works under close supervision and follows standardized operating procedures and detailed instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data entry, indexing, and quality control tasks
- Review optical character recognition (OCR) and extraction processes for accuracy
- Conduct electronic quality assurance on digitized documents
- Transcribe data from original paper-based forms and alternate media into electronic format
- Meet performance standards for speed, accuracy, and quality (performance is evaluated in these areas)
- Follow standardized operating procedures and job aids
- Work is routine and repetitive and requires strong attention to detail and consistency.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required0–2 years of experience in data entry or a related fieldHigh keystrokes per hour with strong accuracyStrong computer skillsFamiliarity with records management concepts, practices, and procedures preferredExperience with digitization quality assurance and indexing is a plusAbility to work well with coworkers and managersMust monitor email dailyForeign-born candidates must provide documentation showing naturalization or resident alien statusPhysical Requirements
