YOUR ROLE :

Hillis-Carnes Specialty Construction Group is actively seeking a Mechanic for our Woodbine, MD office. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of drilling / construction equipment, light / heavy duty trucks, and basic hydraulics . Daily duties to include preventive maintenance and repairs of fleet vehicles and drilling / construction equipment (both in the shop and out in the field), DOT inspections, fabrication, welding, obtaining price quotes from vendors and requesting purchase orders, and ordering of parts and shop supplies.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to meet additional pre-employment criteria.
  • Required to lift heavy equipment and materials
  • N eed to be reliable, motivated, possess a positive attitude, and have a good work ethic
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable MVR
  • CDL class A or B is preferred but not required
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Basic hydraulic experience
