Mechanical Engineer – Direct Hire Location : Waynesboro, VA Salary : $85,000–$90,000 (DOE) Type : Full-Time, Direct Hire We’re hiring a Mechanical Engineer for our client in Waynesboro, VA. Position Overview : The Mechanical Engineer will support the development, design, and implementation of custom automation systems. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, this role is key in bringing innovative mechanical solutions from concept to production. Key Responsibilities : Design and implement new automation systems under the guidance of senior engineers Lead full system design and oversee on-site installation Research and integrate emerging technologies and industry trends into new concepts Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on innovation projects Support prototyping, testing, and manufacturing of custom machinery Create system simulations and CAD concepts for internal review and customer presentations Prepare detailed SOLIDWORKS models, drawings, and BOMs for manufacturing Enter system components and structure into the ERP system Communicate directly with customers and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Participate in brainstorming sessions and help pitch ideas to internal stakeholders and customers Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field 3+ years of experience in custom machine design Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills Experience with robotics or automation is a plus Excellent communication and collaboration skills Presented by TriMech Staff Augmentation TriMech Staff Augmentation is a specialized engineering staffing partner connecting top-tier technical talent with leading organizations.
