Monitors for defective materials and maintains a clean work area. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

• Performs typical press operations to support the assembly floor
• Detects and reports defective materials, miss hits, and questionable conditions to the department supervisor
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
• Tests restraints and other safety equipment
• Wear all PPE
• Develop the ability to operate a variety of press machines
• Monitor own work to ensure quality
• Perform job with minimal scrap or rework
• Possess a mind-set that commitment of excellence and plant safety are the most important goals
• Work performed in a plant environment
• Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise and sharp material
• Employee will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
