The Dietitian conducts assessments, nutritional planning and education of HV-positive patients. This includes addressing nutritional requirements with complex anti-retroviral therapies, and for co-morbidities such as diabetes and heart disease. Conducts patient education and staff training groups on-site and in community agencies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition / Dietetic
- Master's Degree - preferred
- Minimum one (1) year experience in providing nutritional assessment and guidance to people with HIV
- New York State Licensed Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN)
- Registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Bilingual (English / Spanish or English / Creole) preferred
- Sensitivity to cultural diversity of patient population served
- Available to work late sessions and Saturdays as required
- Experience and / or interest in working with people living with mental health, drug use, and / or chronic illness issues.
