About The Position

Must-Have :

• Bone marrow transplant experience required
• Float ability to other care areas to care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Availability to work 4 out of the 8 major holidays

Description :

The role requires the nurse to provide comprehensive care to patients with hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant diagnoses.

Candidates must possess either an ONS biotherapy or ONS immunotherapy certification.

The ability to float to medical-surgical and telemetry patients is essential.

Chemotherapy administration skills, including monitoring and peripheral line care / management, are required.

Every other weekend availability is necessary.

Candidates must have experience in telemetry.

The nurse will be part of an interdisciplinary support team including various healthcare professionals.

Epic experience is required for charting purposes.

Candidates must perform an EKG exam as part of their qualifications.

Additionally, all candidates must be willing to follow COVID-19 vaccine requirements, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons.

Travel experience is required.

Patients treated will include adults and geriatrics, with a daily census of approximately 23.

The unit has 24 beds available for patient care.
