Summary

Fori Automation, a Lincoln Electric company, supplies welding, assembly, and testing equipment globally. We seek an experienced Controls Engineer for our Shelby Township, MI site, focusing on software development, project support, and customer interaction, including travel for installations.

What You Will Do

  • Design PLC software and HMIs for industrial automation equipment
  • Debug and troubleshoot PLC software and HMIs
  • Collaborate with teams to meet project milestones
  • Maintain documentation and customer deliverables
  • Support equipment troubleshooting and end-user training

Required Experience and Education

  • Electrical engineering or mechatronics degree preferred
  • At least two years of Controls Engineering experience
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits, schematic reading, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with electrical CAD systems (AutoCAD Electrical, ePLAN)
  • Experience with Rockwell Logix 5000 or Siemens S7-1500 processors
  • Programming skills in VB, C / C++, C# (preferred)
  • PLC programming in ladder and structured text
  • HMI programming experience (Rockwell and Siemens preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Travel approximately 30% domestically and internationally; weekend work may be required
