OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a candidate with proven and consistent experience as a Reporter. Responsibilities include live studio and field reporting, interviewing, research, writing, story and segment setup, and special reports. The candidate should be able to enterprise news stories, produce remote segments and interviews, and demonstrate versatility as a writer and storyteller. Experience with creating original local content for broadcast and digital platforms is essential. The role requires executing daily stories with creative storytelling and proficiency in social media posting.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or Communications, with five (5) to seven (7) years of television news experience in a medium to major market. Excellent communication skills, solid news judgment, and strong writing and on-air performance skills are required. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of legal and ethical standards for broadcast and digital media, current events, and procedures of governmental and law enforcement agencies. Strong research and data recovery skills are necessary. Familiarity with news computer systems, TV, and digital production techniques is essential. The candidate must be able to collaborate effectively and perform well under deadline pressure.
