Wellpath sees hundreds of thousands of unique individuals in their facilities month over month and a very large percent of those individuals receive direct clinical care, which includes lives saved by Narcan. The Phlebotomist performs venipuncture and capillary puncture for blood specimen collection on all facility patients with accuracy and skill, as directed by their supervisor and in accordance with industry standards. Additionally, they conduct bedside test analysis and collect non-blood specimens as instructed to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Overall, the Phlebotomist plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by ensuring proper blood and specimen collection for analysis and diagnosis.
