Psychiatry Research Program Director

About the Role
The Program Director works collaboratively with the leadership team, faculty, and staff to cultivate strategic direction and manage administrative functions, daily operations, and fiscal oversight of the Research Program(s) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide senior-level support to research operations, including staff recruitment, academic partnerships, grant management, and facilities planning.
Manage research programs and agreements with collaborative parties, internal and external funding organizations, and industry partners.
Develop budgets for grant and industry applications; ensure proper administration of program funds and properties, and negotiate contracts.
Support human resources matters for faculty, fellows, trainees, and staff; coordinate recruitment, credentialing, and training operations.
Oversee facilities, space logistics, and facility planning, including renovations and expansions.
Develop and maintain performance measures; collect data and report on program effectiveness.
Assist in the planning and implementation of program goals, objectives, and resource allocation.
Authorize expenditures and advise on financial matters for the department.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
8-10 years of related experience, including 3-5 years of supervisory / management experience.
Demonstrated ability to operationalize and grow research programs.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with data analysis and database management.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and customer-service skills.
Compensation
$100,006.00 – $159,994.00 USD per year (variable based on experience and qualifications).
