Contract Specialist

Bennett Aerospace, Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Contract Specialist I with a working knowledge of various contract types, including government contracts, and the ability to work independently. This individual must be able to take direction well and communicate effectively with both contractors and Government employees. This position shall support the US Marshals Service. Preferred skills and experience would be a candidate who possesses proficient knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, experience in reviewing and administering contracts, planning / conducting contract price / cost analyses of a variety of pre-award and / or post-award procurement actions to determine cost effectiveness and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Demonstrate experience in having had key responsibility for formulating contracting approach, planning, administering, and conducting detailed contract price / cost analysis, procuring and supplies, and services through the use of formally advertised and negotiated procurements. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Position Responsibilities

Assist Government contracting officers with large and small purchase contract actions.

Review solicitation packages for completeness.

Review funding documents for completeness and accuracy.

Advise and provide program offices with examples of documents to be contained in a solicitation package.

May be required to work with a program office to resolve minor issues.

Will be required to input contracts, task orders, and purchase orders into the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS).

Research and provide statistical data to contracting officers.

Prepare documents such as market research reports, determinations, and other Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) determinations.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree with at least 24 hours of business credit from an accredited College or University.

Proficient writing skills.

At least four (4) years of related working experience which demonstrates the required duties and responsibilities listed above.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Superior time management, organization, and prioritization skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Advanced knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR 8, 12, and 15).

FAC-C Level II or DAWIA Level II.

Security Requirements

Clearance Level Required : Public Trust to Top Secret

Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.

Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.

Successful Pass of Bennett Aerospace Background Investigation, Drug Screening and Credit Check.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000.

This position is in Arlington, Virginia.
