Job Title : Data Center Technician

Location : Splitting time between two data center locations in Irving, TX and Red Oak, TX

Compensation : $20-35 / hr+, OT eligible, Benefits start day 1 (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k)

Schedule : 2 Shifts Available, 7am-7pm

A Shift : Sunday-Tuesday, every other Wednesday

B Shift : Thursday-Saturday, every other Wednesday

Job Description :

Insight Global is looking to hire Data Center Technicians for a Fortune500 client. In this role you will be responsible for preparing, staging, setting up, and performing startups and shutdowns (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches) according to specific instructions, checklists, guides, standard protocols, and emails. Performing diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifies the cause(s) of issues, and replaces faulty components. Decommissions hardware for simple changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) following standard procedures with minimal guidance. Following procedures to communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate Datacenter Technician Leads. The qualified candidate will be working alongside the cabling and logistics teams to complete necessary projects.

Job Requirements :

• 3+ years of experience in an ENTERPRISE data center (Think of companies that build data centers for other companies to use, not small corporate data centers)
• Rack / Stack experience (able to build racks / cabinets, stack servers, wire using a wire map, configure servers
• Strong experience with server cooling (ideally liquid cooling instead of Fan)
