Overview :
We’re looking for a skilled Field Service Technician (FSR2) to support electrical service operations in the Virginia and Maryland area. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and industrial controls. You’ll handle complex technical work independently and collaborate closely with engineers and senior techs to ensure systems stay reliable and efficient.
Key Responsibilities :
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems — including transformers, LV / MV switchgear, PLCs, and industrial controls.
Perform diagnostics, inspections, and testing to ensure systems meet standards.
Serve as the main customer contact on service calls, providing technical expertise and excellent communication.
Document service work, including test results and maintenance reports.
Follow all OSHA and safety procedures, conducting on-site safety checks as needed.
Stay current with new technologies and suggest process improvements.
Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Experience : 3–5 years in electrical systems or industrial controls field service.
Technical Skills :
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, LV / MV switchgear, and protective relays.
Proficient using standard electrical tools and test equipment.
Other Requirements :
Willingness to travel regionally with overnight stays.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
