Culinary Kitchen Lead – Nourish with Purpose at LifeCircles PACE
At LifeCircles PACE, food is a vital part of how we care for older adults. As our Culinary Kitchen Lead , you’ll oversee meal planning, preparation, portioning, inventory, and management — ensuring every meal is nutritious, timely, and tailored to participant needs.
You'll lead kitchen operations with a focus on quality, compassion, and compliance with all health and safety standards. This is more than just a kitchen job, it’s a chance to make a meaningful impact every day through food.

Primary Responsibilities :
Plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily preparation and service of meals for day center participants.Collaborate with the Day Center Operations Manager to develop menu changes, plan special events, and prepare holiday meals.Place food and supply orders as needed.Ensure all meals meet established nutritional standards for older adults.Accommodate special diets (e.g. allergies, restrictions) and texture modifications (e.g. soft, pureed).Manage food and kitchen supply inventories within budget constraints.Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and maintain cost effective meal production.Enforce food safety and sanitation practices per local and state health regulations.Conduct regular kitchen inspections and maintain accurate records.Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas.Foster a warm, respectful, and welcoming dining environment for all participants.✅ What You’ll Need :
2 years of cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living settings, required.1 year experience working with frail elderly.ServSafe Certification, required.Degree or certification in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Nutrition, or Culinary field, preferred.Computer proficiency and basic math skills, required.Thorough understanding of food safety standards, dietary guidelines, and therapeutic diets for older adults, preferred.The above is a summary of the position, it in no way states or implies that these are the only duties this position will be required to perform.
