Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, your role will focus on :
- Clinical Excellence : Promote evidence-based practices through the nursing process, protocols, and procedures.
- Assess patient status through interviews, observations, and physical assessments.
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Implement appropriate interventions to achieve expected patient outcomes.
- Evaluate and document patient progress consistently throughout your shift.
- Modify care plans based on ongoing evaluations and changes in patient conditions.
- Complete necessary documentation, including patient charts and event reports.
- Demonstrate accountability for your practice and seek continuous self-development.
- Maintain technical knowledge of equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Promote professional development for yourself and your team members.
- Share your clinical knowledge through informal teaching and mentorship.
- Ensure patient safety through appropriate handling and use of lift equipment.
- Perform bedside lab testing and maintain compliance with hospital procedures.

Assessing and adapting teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of patients and families.Considering cultural, age-specific, and developmental factors in your teaching.Ensuring patient safety by adhering to policies and National Patient Safety Goals.Consulting appropriate resources for specialized education.Utilizing the SVI patient education system to support patients and families.Performance Improvement Focus
Be an active participant in enhancing our care quality :
Engage in data collection and analysis to identify improvement opportunities.Ensure care aligns with standards, evidence-based practices, and quality initiatives.Promote customer satisfaction among patients, families, and colleagues.Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives and follow up on patient needs.Encourage coworkers to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction.Contribute to unit-based councils and implement changes based on best practices.Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you will need :
Certifications :Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year (AHA)
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days (AHA)Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in IllinoisEducation : College diploma in NursingCompensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $33.32 - $57.31 per hour . This range reflects our commitment to fair compensation based on experience, qualifications, and other factors. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and career growth.
