Quality Inspector Lead

C.H. Thompson is currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector Lead to join our quality control team. As a Quality Inspector Lead, you will be integral to maintaining and improving our high standards by ensuring that products meet specific standards of quality and safety. Position Overview

Responsibilities May Include :

• Rework Paperwork : Prepare, complete and maintain detailed records of rework activities, ensuring all documentation is accurate including issue identification, cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Non-Conformances : Identify, document, and manage non-conformances, working with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
• Inspection & Approval : Incoming inspections, first piece inspections, in process inspections, and final inspections, accepting or rejecting them based on specifications.
• Quality Audits : Participate in internal and external quality audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Organization and Documentation : Maintain organized records of all quality-related activities, ensuring documentation is thorough, accurate, and easily accessible.
• Communication : Discuss inspection outcomes with production teams and collaborate with the Quality Manager on daily tasks.
• Quality Assurance : Assist in achieving QA compliance and targets; develop and maintain quality procedures and controls.
• Supplier & Product Assessment : Evaluate product specifications and customer requirements, including those of suppliers.
• Customer Communications : Handle quality related customer communications in a professional manner.
• Training : Assist in training staff on quality standards and procedures.
• Blueprint Reading : Interpret blueprints, technical documents, and manuals to ensure product quality.
• Testing Tools : Use tools such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers for measurement.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in quality management or a related field preferred.

Keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Must have advanced math and computer skills.

Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

This role is based in the State of New York which requires the disclosure of salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is $20.00-$25.00 per hour. C.H. Thompson provides salary ranges as a good faith estimate of what the company reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of posting. Compensation offered to a selected candidate may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) a candidate's job-related qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
