Job Description

We’re looking for Certified Medical Assistants to join our team, supporting patients and families with excellent, patient-centered care. In this role, you’ll ensure the smooth flow of patients during clinic hours, coordinate with a team of professionals, and deliver quality service to insured and uninsured patients, especially those facing barriers such as language, income, or cultural differences.

You’ll also be responsible for receiving and processing payments, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to a compassionate, respectful environment. This role may occasionally involve assisting other departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Support smooth and efficient patient flow during Primary Care clinic hours

Provide excellent service to patients, families, and coworkers

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Accept and post insurance co-pays in EMR

Utilize basic clerical and computer skills, including telemedicine support

Ensure accuracy in AccuReg documentation

Work collaboratively and flexibly across teams and departments

Collaborative Teamwork

This role involves working closely with clinical, office, and support staff to deliver patient-focused Primary Care services in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Certified by AAMA, AMT, or CCBMA

Experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting preferred

Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English

Proficient in basic clerical tasks and computer software

AccuReg accuracy rate of 80% during probation; 90% thereafter

BLS certification required and maintained

Maturity, sound judgment, and ability to work independently
