Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position requiring a MT or compact RN license and at least one year of NICU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of a hospital
  • Provide care for high-acuity neonatal patients
  • Schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts with variable days
  • Use of Epic EMR for charting
  • May be required to float to other departments within competency and qualification
  • On-call during regularly scheduled shifts may be required
  • Independently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for neonatal patients
  • Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive treatments to patients and families
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and refer patients as necessary for further evaluation or treatment
  • Strict compliance with documentation in line with hospital and regulatory guidelines is required
  • RTO must be submitted as part of the application process
  • Must complete background check and drug screening through designated vendors prior to start
  • Adherence to hospital mission, vision, values, and service behavior standards required

  • Active MT or compact RN license required at time of application
  • Minimum of one year NICU RN experience required
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Current AHA BLS certification required; ACLS, NRP, and PALS preferred or as appropriate for the unit
  • All certifications must be valid and not expire prior to the start date
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
