Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) is a vital caregiver in our long-term care facility. You will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Your responsibilities include delivering age-appropriate care and addressing the physical and psychological needs of residents as outlined in their care plans.
Key responsibilities include :
Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, and grooming.Obtaining and recording vital signs.Providing psychosocial support and personal care.Helping residents with transfers, repositioning, and walking using correct techniques.Supporting residents during meals and ensuring a positive dining experience.Documenting resident interactions and any changes in condition.Maintaining cleanliness in living areas through housekeeping and laundry services.Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs.Your role on the nursing team is essential, and you will be expected to adhere to infection control policies and assist in various tasks as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory.Minimum age of 16 years.Previous clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred.CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing is required. We provide CNA training and certification if you are not already certified.Must complete yearly competency testing and maintain continuing education credits.When applicable, must be certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.Benefits
