The company is a globally known law firm. This is a newly created position joining its growing Benefits team.

Job Description

Design and implement health and wellness benefit programs that align with company goals. Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries. Analyze and evaluate current benefit plans and propose improvements as necessary. Remain up-to-date and compliant with US health & welfare laws ERISA, PPACA, COBA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc. Monitor compliance and handle external / internal audits. Monitor benefit utilization and provide insights to improve employee engagement. Maintain accurate records of employee benefits and ensure timely processing of claims. Provide training and support for HR teams on benefits-related matters.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Benefits Specialist (Health & Wellness) should have :

• 5+ years of expertise in managing health and wellness benefit programs.
• 2+ years of benefits compliance experience - strong knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations.
• Prior experience utilizing Workday as an HRIS system.
• Previous experience with ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, & FMLA.
• Previous experience in professional services industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
