Overview
deugro is a global project freight forwarding specialist. We focus on complex cargo types and provide integrated logistics solutions across transport engineering, global ocean transportation, and specialized assets.
Key Responsibilities
Main responsibilities and objective include but are not limited to :
- Develop and lead the tendering function at the local level for deugro's Houston office.
- Ensure submission of tender documentation of the highest quality, featuring industry-leading technical solutions and competitive pricing.
- Assist with pre-tender activities and early-stage efforts to support strategic tender response development.
- Lead strategic U.S. and Houston-based tenders, overseeing technical concepts, commercial strategies, and bid documentation.
- Manage tendering processes, strategies, and tools in coordination with Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and other internal functions.
- Collaborate with global, regional, and local teams on ITT / RFI / RFQ and similar strategic tenders and MSAs.
- Support sales teams in bid presentations and negotiations for key tenders.
- Make strategic commercial decisions in close coordination with country and regional management.
- Review contract terms and conditions, assess risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Oversee implementation and onboarding of new business through SOP development and coordination with operations and project teams.
- Conduct postmortem reviews with clients and internal teams to identify improvement opportunities.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Following attributes are required to successfully fulfill the role :
Bachelor's degree or 7–10 years of related industry experience or training.Minimum of 8 years' experience in international freight forwarding, trade lane management, and customer development.At least 8 years' experience in a management role in tendering within the project logistics industry.Proven logistics management experience across multiple industry sectors, including capital investment projects and specialized logistics disciplines.Strong strategic leadership skills with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and delivering value-driven results.Extensive subcontractor network across all modes of transport.Client-facing experience with IOC, EPC, and Manufacturing clients.Skilled in managing pre-tender activities and contributing to strategic response development.Proficient in coordinating tendering processes across Sales, Business Development, Pricing Departments, Marketing, and other internal functions.Capable of handling ITT / RFI / RFQ processes end-to-end in collaboration with global, regional, and local teams.Experienced in making strategic commercial decisions in alignment with country and regional leadership.Strong ability to review contract terms, assess risks, and propose mitigation strategies.Skilled in onboarding new business through SOP development and coordination with operations and project teams.Experienced in conducting postmortem reviews with clients and internal teams to drive continuous improvement.Strong knowledge of Microsoft software packages, including Dynamics CRM and Xeneta container pricing tools.High attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and manage multiple priorities.Effective team leadership and collaboration skills.Committed to mentoring and supporting the development of team members.What makes us the ideal choice?
