  • About the Role
  • We are seeking a Service Desk Technician to join a high-performing IT team supporting a large enterprise environment with 10,000-20,000 end users. This role focuses on Tier I and Tier II troubleshooting and resolution for hardware, software, and network-related issues across multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux).
  • You will work in a fast-paced, process-driven environment, providing 80-100% phone support and collaborating with other IT teams to ensure timely and effective solutions.

    • Key Responsibilities
    • Provide Tier I and Tier II support for enterprise applications, including web browsers, email (Outlook), financial systems, HR and procurement tools.
    • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; perform root cause analysis and develop permanent solutions.
    • Support multiple operating systems (Windows 7-10, MacOS, Linux) and assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance.
    • Utilize remote access tools for complex troubleshooting.
    • Maintain accurate documentation in ticketing systems (HP Service Desk or similar).
    • Develop and maintain Knowledge Base content and technical procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with security policies.
    • Collaborate with IT departments and external vendors as needed.
    • Required Qualifications
    • 1-3+ years of experience in a Help Desk or Service Desk environment.
    • Strong understanding of Windows 7-10 and MacOS; Linux knowledge preferred.
    • Certifications : A+, Network+, Microsoft, Dell, or Apple.
    • Excellent communication skills, customer-focused attitude, and ability to work well in a team.
    • Experience with ticketing systems (HP Service Desk or similar).
    • Ability to follow established SOPs (35 documented processes).
    • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience supporting enterprise applications and business tools.
    • Familiarity with financial and procurement platforms.
    • Knowledge of backup restoration and basic network troubleshooting.

    • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Haven, CT.

    • Pay and Benefits
    • The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00 / hr.
