Duties and Responsibilities :

Candidate will be providing MySQL database administration support. Principal Consultant is a mid-level member of a project team assisting with implementation and testing of individual components of the Oracle product or technology based on guidance from the lead. Assists with the development and configuration of detailed solutions based on customer requirements. Assists in operations and maintenance of the customer system.

Required Experience :

  • 10+ years experience administering to, and engineering solutions with, Oracle MySQL.
  • Extensive experience with database design and modeling; as well as, the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning.
  • Installing and configuring new MySQL servers (5.x and 8.x)
  • Design and development of MySQL stored procedures.
  • Upgrading MySQL databases, both major and minor revisions
  • Administering MySQL account access, backups and table spaces
  • Migrating MySQL databases
  • Monitoring MySQL server performance
  • BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent year's experience.
  • Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.
  • Must be COMPTIA Security Plus certified
