Position Details
- Shift : Full-time (40 Hours), variable
- Location : St. James Hospital, Butte, Montana
- Weekly Hours : 40
- Hourly Rate : $35.62 - $57.36 (dependent on experience)
Your Role
As a Sonographer at Intermountain Health, you will :
Perform daily sonographic procedures and operate ultrasound equipment independently.Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.Conduct accurate clinical assessments to identify patient signs and symptoms.Effectively operate sonographic equipment to capture diagnostic images.Utilize independent judgment to differentiate between normal and pathological findings.Analyze sonograms and communicate findings to physicians.Practice universal safety precautions to ensure a safe environment for all.Minimum Qualifications
For Sonographer I :
Completion of formal ultrasound training from an AMA-approved school.RDMS Physics SPI Registry or equivalent upon hire.Specialty credentialing in abdominal or OB / GYN within 6 months of hire.BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.For Sonographer II :
Completion of formal ultrasound training from an AMA-approved school.RDMS Physics SPI Registry or equivalent required.Registry in 4 or more specialties required.BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in abdominal, OB / GYN, small parts, vascular, and interventional ultrasound.Physical Requirements
As a Sonographer, you will need to :
See and read information accurately, assess patient needs, and operate equipment.Communicate effectively with patients and care providers, especially in emergencies.Manipulate complex equipment with precision and accuracy.Lift and transfer patients, as well as carry supplies and equipment.Stand for extended periods and navigate busy environments.Why Choose Intermountain Health?
