Job Description

To assist applicants going through financial hardship with material and financial assistance and provide referrals to other resources as needed. To serve as a liaison between the CCH / EAP, program participants and community partners.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Responds to all incoming inquiries / requests via phone, and email from households facing financial hardship by providing information ans services / assistance in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
  • Process applications and conducts intake and follow-ups with applicants, including helping to gather required documents and meeting application timelines to determine eligibility based upon applicable grant and program guidelines.
  • Inputs applicant data into an outcome tracking database and update database as needed.
  • Provides referrals to social service agencies and other community resources to applicants and establishes a plan of action to pursue such referrals if required.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct financial literacy training.
  • Responds to inquiries, questions and concerns from landlords, vendors, and other social service agencies regarding the EAP.
  • Completes administrative tasks, which include but may not be limited to, forms processing, data entry, photocopying, word processing and filing.

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of customer service and / or administrative experience.
  • Extensive working knowledge of computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, OneDrive and other operational software.
  • Ability to work directly and collaboratively with divers persons and programs found in a multi-faceted agency and community.
  • Effective communication skills (listening, speaking and writing) with proven ability to take and relay details and accurate information.
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with divers populations.
  • Valid Driver's license, clear traffic abstract and willingness to use properly insured vehicle.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Human Services or a related field.
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year of progressive job-related experience in the Human Services environment.
  • Must comply with company code of ethics, confidentiality practices, HIPAA, safety and all other policies and procedures.
