Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Tupelo, MS 38801 (Mississippi travel nursing job)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Unit : Labor & Delivery (L&D RN)

Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM)

Hours per Week : 36

Duration : 13-week contract

Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 (or any Monday thereafter)

Weekend Requirement : 2 weekends per month

Floating : Required within clinical competencies

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2070–$2220 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital setting

Prior travel nursing experience required

Active Mississippi or Compact State RN license (required at submission)

Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP

Experience circulating C-sections (no scrubbing required)

Ability to pass Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip) tests with 80% or higher

Full compliance documentation due 7 days before start date

Must not have worked perm / per diem at NMMC in the last 12 months

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to obstetrical patients, including labor, preterm labor, hypertension, PROM, kidney stones, IUGR, and diabetes

Care for term and low-risk newborns, supporting family-centered care

Circulate for C-sections (no scrubbing required)

Float to other nursing units within competencies as needed

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including MFM specialists and OB hospitalists (available 24 / 7)

Maintain flexibility for scheduling, including weekends and holidays

Document patient care using Epic EMR

Promote a safe, supportive environment for patients and families
