Description :
Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Fabrication Supervisor ensures the production of company products at the highest quality and at the lowest possible cost, meeting company policies and procedures. The Fabrication Supervisor will act in a manner that is consistent with Gordon Aluminum’s Customer 1st Philosophy.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements : Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Education and / or Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree and one or two years related experience; or two years of college and three to five years of progressively responsible related experience; or four years of high school and seven to ten years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers of common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration and percent.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, purchase orders, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals, and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of specifications and information furnished in the written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands
Physical Demand refers to the level and / or duration of physical exertion generally required to perform occupational tasks (sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear, stand, walk, talk and see. Regularly uses hands to handle, or touch objects or controls. Performs repetitive motion of fingers, hands, wrists, shoulders and upper body. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee must frequently lift up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), and the Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and extreme heat (non-weather). The employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles, caustic chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions. On occasion employees can work in high, precarious places, and vibrations.
The noise is typically loud in this work environment. Hearing protection is required.
Employees is expected to wear the required personal protective equipment when on the production floor.
