Material Handler

The Material Handler will perform all assembly with related finishing to customer specifications, help with loading / unloading of steel parts, and assist with movement of material within the premises. Duties and responsibilities include commitment to workplace safety, assembly and related finishing of cabinets based on production demand, assisting with loading / unloading of steel parts from the paint line, utilizing pallet jacks or other material handling equipment to move material within the premises, providing error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position, working under direct supervision, supporting the safety and quality programs by following all accompanying rules and established processes, and having powder coating experience as a plus. Other duties as assigned.

Shift : 1st Shift - Voluntary overtime opportunity on Fridays when applicable or when mandated.

Monday - 5 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM

Tuesday - 5 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM

Wednesday - 5 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM

Thursday - 5 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM

Friday - As Needed (Voluntary OT)

Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively throughout the course of a shift, ability to bend, stand, twist, and stoop for prolonged periods of time, specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, ability to maintain coordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision. Subject to environmental conditions that occur within a fabrication shop condition including exposure to dirt, dust, noise, and vibration from use of equipment and the following : Hazards : Variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. Atmospheric conditions : One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin-fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. Oils : There is air and / or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.

Skills and Qualifications : Simple problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, ability to operate forklifts and cranes is preferred, ability to use a variety of hand tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, grinders, and banders, ability to read and interpret simple blueprints preferred, ability to accurately read a tape measure, knows commonly used practices, and procedures, relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, ability to use measuring tools such as box calipers, slide dial calipers, and micrometers (preferred). High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
