About The Position

Job Title : CT Technologist

License : WA State License Required : ARRT in X-Ray, preferred to have ARRT in CT

Certifications : BLS

Must-Have : CT and X-Ray experience; ability to perform IV starts; preferred C-Arm experience in the OR.

Description :

Department : Radiology

The department has 1 X-Ray room and 1 portable X-Ray unit.

There is 1 CT scanner available.

Staff may rarely need to float to assist with C-Arm in surgery.

The staff will cover all inpatient, outpatient, and ER X-rays and CT scans.

Common imaging studies performed include chest X-rays, extremities, abdomen, spine work, routine CT scans, and angiograms.

Average number of scans / studies per day includes approximately 10 X-rays and 6-8 CT scans.

The electronic medical record system used is Cerner Community Works and the PACS system is Philips Intellispace.

Department specific equipment includes GE X-Ray machines and a Canon CT scanner.

A manager is available Monday to Thursday, and a lead staff member is present Tuesday to Friday.

Radiologists are not in-house and all scans / studies are sent out.

IV starts are required for this position.

Scheduling includes 4-10 hour shifts during the day and 3-12 hour shifts at night.

Typically, 3 technicians are scheduled on day shifts, and 1 technician is scheduled on nights.

Weekend shifts are 12 hours from 7 PM to 7 : 30 AM.

Holiday shifts are required only if the holiday falls on a scheduled workday.

If no night staff is scheduled, day shift staff may be required to be on call with a 20-minute response time.

There is no specific scrub color requirement.

One shift of department-specific orientation is required.
