Benesch is proud to announce the opening for a Applications Developer  in our Cleveland office! This position is hybrid and has work from home flexibility.

POSITION SUMMARY

Do you have experience as a SharePoint or PowerApp developer, online?  Do you have experience working in a law firm or professional services organization? Do you have MS Power Platform certification and looking for an opportunity to put it to use? Then the role of Applications Developer  may be the one you've been looking for! This role is perfect for the Applicatoins Developer who is looking to spread their wings, use their talent and be on the cutting edge of a newly formed applications department.

The Application Developer is responsible for building and managing the firm's custom application environments, including Microsoft PowerApps, Sharepoint, and other relevant platforms as required to support the organization's needs. Working with peers in IT and internal business customers, the role designs and implements solutions that fill firm needs for collaboration, workflow automation, and generally information management while maintaining a secure and segregated development architecture. This role also requires a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset with a strong understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) principles.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Builds solutions within M365 and Azure environments that include workflow, process automation, forms, role based rights management, and dashboard / reporting needs.
• Designs and develops applications within the M365 and Azure ecosystems of SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Maintains existing custom applications and solutions through periodic lifecycle and release management of updated versions of applications.
• Manages backlog of requests for changes to existing solutions and use backlog to create regular version releases of new features and fixes.
• Acts as technical lead for any Power App or SharePoint Drives process improvement initiatives to eliminate system complexities, improve user experience, and increase operational efficiency.
• Maintains strong partnerships with key business and technical stakeholders, including attorneys, administrative staff, and professional teams, to understand business needs, strategies, and priorities.
• Ensures end-user satisfaction by translating business needs into IT deliverables and maintaining open lines of communication throughout projects.
• Supports the Firm's change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems, tools, or processes.
• Assists in creating user training materials and conducting training sessions for end-users and technical teams.
• Develops a comprehensive understanding of the Firm's key applications, including legal practice management systems, document management systems, timekeeping tools, and collaboration platforms.
• Maintains standard operating procedures, user manuals, and documentation for application systems and workflows.

Experience in change management, particularly in implementing new systems or processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Application Developer should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience in similar business / industry roles. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a SharePoint or PowerApp developer. Experience using Azure Dev Ops, PowerApps and Power Automate is required. Experience using GitHub, Nintex, Fliplet, and HighQ is ideal but not required. Familiarity with full-service law firm technologies and processes is a plus. Microsoft Power Platform certification will be considered.

The salary range for this position is $113K to $138K.

Please note that quoted salary ranges are based on Benesch's good faith belief at the time of the job posting and are not a guarantee of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that Benesch provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full-time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
