Our client is currently seeking a Drainage Engineer located in Maitland, FL . This role offers the opportunity to work in a small office with access to resources and projects, as well as the benefits of a much larger firm. The team has the opportunity to work on unique projects with a local focus, making a difference while performing site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.

Candidates should have experience with site civil design, stormwater design and permitting, and applicable software applications, including hydrology modeling programs, storm drainage programs, pond recovery programs, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of conveyance systems
• Analysis and design of cross drains
• Design of stormwater management facilities
• Floodplain compensation analysis
• Design and inspection of best management practices for erosion and sediment control
• Prepare technical documents including drainage reports, pond siting reports, and permitting documents
• Prepare construction plans consistent with FDOT standards
• Stormwater permitting with various statewide agencies
• Coordination with other disciplines and meetings with clients
