We are seeking a Floor Care Assistant to join our Environmental Services department . This position is a full-time, scheduled 40 hours per week and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

Location :
Adventist Health Colmbia Gorge is located in The Dalles, Oregon. We work, live, and play in the scenic Columbia River Gorge, Oregon.
Located 85 miles east of Portland in the majestic Columbia River Gorge, The Dalles features old-growth forests, rushing waterfalls, and year-round access to outdoor recreation, including downhill and cross-country skiing, world-class water sports, and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails.

Responsibilities
Cleans a variety of materials including carpeting, various type floorings and furniture. Floor maintenance duties include finish removal, neutralizing and application of various floor finishes.
Overall job functions require the proper use of an array of cleaning equipment and chemicals. Cleans and provides preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
Performs routine housekeeping duties, such as patient room cleaning, isolation room cleaning and other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Education :
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Able to read, write and perform math skills.
- Licensure / Certification :
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Experience :
- Minimum six months of hands on experience maintaining care of commercial carpet and a variety of commercial solid floor surfaces (one year or more strongly preferred).
- Skills / Knowledge / Abilities :
- Experience with using every day technology tools (. email, voicemail, internet / intranet) to access information.
- Able to read, write and perform math skills. Must be able to relate to others with courtesy and tact under normal as well as stressful conditions.
- Must be able to work independently with self directive initiative.
