As Principal Data Scientist, you’ll lead the design and deployment of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions that directly enhance member services, strengthen operational decision-making, and drive responsible gun ownership awareness. This role combines high-level strategy with deep technical execution—few opportunities offer this level of meaningful, socially relevant impact.

With modern platforms like Snowflake, Sigma, and Python plus hands-on use of generative AI, LLMs, and agentic AI frameworks, you’ll be at the forefront of applied AI innovation. You’ll have the freedom to experiment, prototype, and deploy solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible in our industry.

Principal Data Scientist - Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

Leadership and Strategy :

• Collaborate with the Director of Advanced Analytics to define and advance the data science vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the data science team and external consultants to build a high-performing and collaborative practice.
• Champion the adoption of best practices in machine learning, MLOps, model governance, and AI safety.
• Provide expert guidance and technical oversight on all data science projects and initiatives.
• Fosters a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance, and integrity.

Principal Data Scientist - Required Education, Experience and Skills :

This position is based at our corporate headquarters in West Bend, Wisconsin. A hybrid arrangement with some remote work will be considered.

Target base salary range $145,000 - $180,000 based on experience. Eligible for company bonus plan.
