Associate Attorney Position
We are seeking a dedicated litigation attorney to head the litigation department of our growing international Trusts and Estates practice. We have offices in Milford, and Madison, CT, Leon, Spain, and are continuing to expand. The candidate's home base will be Madison but will be expected to work on occasion in Milford as well. The associate will work with the Firm’s founder, Charles L. Kurmay, senior associate, Jamie L. Ottaviano, Of Counsel, and EU attorney, Ricardo Franco, retired Probate Judge and Probate Court Administrator, F. Paul Kurmay, and other members of our team. Job Description
The candidate will independently manage a caseload of approximately thirty (30) client files. As some matters deserve the attention of more than one lawyer, he or she should also be able to work collaboratively as part of a team. The candidate will produce high quality work product with strong attention to detail in order to achieve long-term client goals. They should be able to manage their time productively, although support and mentoring is always available, and questions are anticipated. We offer the ability to work on matters commensurate with that of large firms but with a healthy work-life balance in which to grow. Necessary Requirements
The ideal candidate must possess at least five (5) years prior experience handling litigation related matters, strong legal research, brief writing skills and time in the courtroom. Admission to the Connecticut State Bar is required. Admission to the Connecticut District Court is a plus. Current or former Government employment is considered an asset.

Salary
Is dependent on experience but falls within the range of $135,000-175,000.00 per year. We also provide additional compensation as an incentivize for associates to develop their own book of business and bring new clients to the practice.
Work Hours
We are a client centric office and believe that clients must sometimes come before ourselves particularly during trial or the uncommon occasion when an urgent deadline must be met. Working hours generally fall in the range of forty-five (45) to fifty (50) hours per week. Please submit your resume with cover letter for consideration. Resumes without both will not be considered.
