About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit

License : Valid RN license in any state

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, Chemo certification strongly preferred

Must-Have :

• Oncology experience
• Experience with sickle cell patients
• EPIC experience
• Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment
• Availability to work every other weekend and holiday

Description :

The unit is a 35-bed medical and radiation oncology unit specializing in oncology and hematology patients.

Mixed acuity patients are cared for, including both Med Surg and Advanced Care patients.

A significant portion of the patient population requires blood products and chemotherapy.

The nursing staff on the unit administers chemotherapy provided they have ONS Certification.

There are targeted patient ratios of 1 : 4, which may increase to 1 : 5-6 based on acuity.

Travelers may be required to float to all Stepdown or Advanced Care units as necessary.

Traveler will be first to float at the facility's discretion and will assist with nursing care on all assigned units.

Travelers will be fitted for N95 masks prior to working in designated units unless PAPR is needed.

The unit employs interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and more.

Daily patient census is approximately 34.

No references are required for this application.

Travelers must complete lab work and EKG / Dysrhythmia exam within a specified timeframe of signing the contract.
