SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT OVERVIEW

The Solutions Architect is the strategic leader and trusted advisor on Operative implementation projects. This role requires exceptional consultancy and presentation skills, the ability to articulate compelling visions for customer success, and the capability to guide executives through critical business decisions. You will architect holistic solutions addressing customer workflows end-to-end while proactively managing project dynamics to ensure successful outcomes.

We seek consultants who establish executive presence during pre-sales and throughout implementation, earning customer confidence through industry insight, solution articulation, and proactive leadership. The ideal candidate can operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Solution Leadership

  • Solutions leader on projects, recommending solutions and configurations to meet customers' holistic business needs
  • Own solution design from discovery through validation, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Document workflows supported by base product, required process changes, and necessary gaps (core vs. custom)
  • Assess customer configurations / processes, evaluate impacts of design options, and recommend optimal solutions
  • Design key workflows for multi-product and multi-system integrations from MVP through full operationalization

Customer Pre-Sales Engagement

  • Supports Sales Engineering with customer discovery sessions to gain understanding of business requirements and gather scope elements specific to the implementation
  • Work closely with Sales Engineering for pre-sales scoping and solutioning
  • Describe our approach, process and timing for any custom software development and solution integrations
  • Formulate implementation estimates based on required resources and projected timelines
  • Present the value of our services, communicating the implementation journey, and clarifying scope / value of the overall solution
  • Assist with client objection handling, credential our team, and assure clients our expertise will guide them to success
  • Implementation Engagement

  • Guide customers toward best practices, constructively challenging assumptions when necessary and help customers understand how solutions will affect their workflows
  • Identify issues, provide options, and recommend solutions with clear justification
  • Deliver workshops of Operative products that showcase business value
  • Collaborate with customers on training, solution validation and testing processes
  • Work with Solutions team to manage customer feedback and issues, aligning with Product and Engineering to resolve
  • Provide go-live and post-go-live consultative support on system functionality and workflow changes
  • Work closely with PMO, understand / review project timeline and adhere to project due dates
  • Executive Stakeholder Management

  • Work alongside PMO to establish and maintain executive relationships, serving as trusted advisor throughout project lifecycle
  • Facilitate decision-making on requirements, priorities, obstacles, and change management
  • Collaborate with PMO to proactively identify and escalate project risks before they impact outcomes
  • Navigate difficult conversations with confidence, addressing scope changes, resource constraints, and competing priorities
  • Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Provide supervision and guidance to Solutions Consultants and Customer Support teams
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing across Solutions Architects and whole Solutions team
  • Lead / assist on internal process improvement projects
  • Duties & responsibilities may be changed in accordance with Operative needs.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Experience

  • 5+ years customer-facing consulting experience in complex software implementations or professional services delivery
  • Proven track record architecting and implementing complex multi-system solutions for enterprise customers
  • Experience in pre-sales engagements, with ability to articulate solution vision and gain customer buy-in
  • Background in one or more business areas would be preferred but not required : digital advertising, local broadcasting, network broadcasting, or media technology
  • Experience managing executive stakeholder relationships and leading governance discussions
  • Experience of working in a multi-national / time zone company preferred

  • Strong analytical and solution design capabilities for complex business workflows
  • Technical know-how to understand how systems work together and integrate
  • Familiarity with technical tools and concepts including APIs, cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud), data integration tools, and modern software architecture patterns
  • Proactive problem-solving with ability to identify issues early
  • Ability to manage demanding customers with professionalism
  • Literacy and knowledge of standard business operations and productivity software : MS Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint, Salesforce, JIRA, Basecamp
  • Awareness of how AI is transforming software implementation practices and ability to leverage AI tools for enhanced productivity and solution design
