Engineering Technician

Description

The Engineering Technician to support the development, testing, and integration of advanced aerospace and defense systems. This role involves working closely with engineers to build, evaluate, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components used in high-performance applications such as environmental control systems, RF systems, and photonics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Assist engineers in the design and development of mechanical and electrical systems including compressors, fans, electronic control units and cables / harnesses. - Build and assemble prototype Vapor Cycle Systems, fans and according to engineering drawings and specifications. - Perform testing and validation of systems and components to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with standards. - Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with feedback to the engineering team for recommend solutions to resolve technical problems encountered during testing or production. - Maintain accurate records of test results, equipment calibration and prototype units under test - Support procurement, vendor management and inventory management for materials and components. - Collaborate with engineers and other team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in design and testing procedures. - Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with equipment and hazardous materials. - Utilize a variety of equipment and tools for building and testing of prototypes. - Provide technical support and assistance to production and manufacturing teams as needed. - Maintain and provide continuous improvement opportunities to Sr leadership to facility as they are identified

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $70000.00 / yr.
