Position : Drafter

Shift / Hours : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm

Pay Rate : $30-$45 per hour

Location : San Jose, CA

Experience : At least 1 year of Drafter experience in the Sheet Metal Industry

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings of sheet metal components, assemblies, and products, ensuring all designs adhere to industry standards and project requirements.
• Interpret engineering sketches, blueprints, and specifications to translate design concepts into clear and concise manufacturing plans.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive library of standard parts and components to streamline the drafting process and ensure consistency across projects.
• Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot design issues, implement design changes, and optimize designs for efficient and cost-effective fabrication.
• Perform quality checks and revisions on existing drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with updated project specifications or customer feedback.
• Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and cutting lists from CAD models to assist with material procurement and production scheduling.
• Other duties as assigned
