Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Design Engineer, Electrical (Building HVAC). This is a Direct Hire position with a starting salary range : $80k - $100k based on experience. The position is based in San Francisco and is hybrid.

Salary

Base pay range : $80,000.00 / yr - $100,000.00 / yr. This range may vary for positions in other locations and is dependent on experience and education.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our San Francisco office. In this role, you will work on a variety of projects ranging from small to large, providing technical support and leadership throughout the design process. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, and internal teams, with a strong emphasis on innovation and sustainability. This position requires a self-starter with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Initiative and follow-through are essential.

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers throughout the electrical design and construction administration process.
• Create electrical designs using Revit and other BIM tools.
• Conduct analyses to develop design options and recommendations.
• Assist in planning and designing electrical systems for commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities.
• Support proposal development, cost estimates, and equipment schedules.
• Propose innovative solutions to design challenges.
• Coordinate project scope, design, and deadlines with project managers and senior engineers.
• Review submittals and shop drawings; respond to RFIs in a timely manner.
• Conduct site visits, feasibility studies, and prepare basis of design reports.
• Manage tasks to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion.
• Actively participate in design and construction meetings.
• Communicate and collaborate across disciplines.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Building / Energy Codes and LEED standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
