POSITION OBJECTIVES
Performs a wide variety of skilled work in maintaining and / or repairing grounds, trees, stormwater drainage systems, streets, right of ways, parks, and other City facilities and areas. All work will be performed under general supervision of the Facility and Grounds Maintenance Supervisor and Crew Leader.

EDUCATION, Training and Experience
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate of competency, and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in Facility Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, and / or General Construction; demonstrated ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Must possess a valid Florida driver's license and CDL.
(A comparable amount of training, education or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)

This position is designated as Essential Personnel. Essential Personnel are those who serve in job functions that are essential to the City's operations and / or its citizens and which are required to be maintained during any severe weather or other emergency condition. Essential Personnel may be required to report to or remain at work during any event deemed to be an emergency by the City of South Daytona.
